Doris Margaret O’Brien

Laconia---Doris Margaret O’Brien, 78, of 9 Cleveland Place passed away at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Tuesday, September 25, 2007.

Mrs. O’Brien was born in Plymouth, N. H., August 10, 1929, the daughter of Grace (Kidney) Carrier Blaisdell and stepfather, Daniel Blaisdell.

Mrs. O’Brien was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region.  She was raised in Gilford and was a graduate of Gilford Grade School.    She graduated from Laconia High School in 1949.

Mrs. O’Brien was employed at Allen Rogers for many years and later was employed at the Lakes Region United Way, retiring in 1999.

Survivors include a son, George O’Brien, of Laconia, N. H.; two daughters, Loretta O’Brien and her husband, Doug, of Gibsonton, Florida and Carrie Minner and her husband, Byron, of Sanbornton; two grandchildren, Donald Levesque of Laconia, N. H. and Julia O’Brien of Canaan, N. H.; a brother, Arlo Blaisdell, of Plymouth, N. H.; a sister, Leah Tuttle, of Gilford, N. H. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Keith Blaisdell.

According to Mrs. O’Brien’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be at the family lot in Trinity Cemetery, Holderness, N. H.
