Belmont---Mary Winnifred "Winnie" Wheeler, 96, formally of Pleasant Valley Trailer Park died at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, NH on Friday, October 3, 2003. Mrs. Wheeler was the widow of Henry W. Wheeler Sr. who died in 1987.

Mrs. Wheeler was born May 9, 1907 in the county of Halifax, N.S. Canada the daughter Rueben and Mary (Bruce) Ellis. Mrs. Wheeler has been a resident of Belmont since 1973 coming from Plymouth, NH and Ashland, NH.

Mrs. Wheeler attended the South Baptist Church, Belmont, NH.

Mrs. Wheeler enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and flowers.

Survivors include four sons H. William Wheeler, Jr. of Gainsville, GA, Bruce Wheeler of Londonderry, NH, Leslie Wheeler of Surprise, AZ, and James Wheeler of Santee, SC; four daughters Mary Lyman of VA, Christine Blair of Hudson, NH, Betty Whitehouse of Safety Harbor, FL, and Lois Bolduc of Barnstead; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her daughter Nancy Meyer.

No calling hours will be held.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246. Burial will follow in the family lot at South Road Cemetery, Belmont, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246.
