Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.-------Miss Ruth A. Schneider, 76, died October 10, 2003 in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
Miss Schneider was born January 6, 1927 in Newark, N.J. the daughter of Bruno and Margaret (Stetter) Schneider.
Early in her life, Miss Schneider's family moved to Laconia, NH and opened the Terrace Hotel which they operated until her father's death in 1960. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Hotel Management and received her Master's degree in Library Science from Columbia University. She was a Librarian and retired from the New York Public Library.
Miss Schneider was a long-time resident of Irvington, New York and was a member of the Irvington Seniors and the Westchester Glass Club.
Survivors include her sister, Ida Pearl, of Saco, Maine; two cousins, Erwin and Alfred Schoenbrunn and their children, Gail Schoenbrunn, Carol Lambiase, Barbara Leighton, Mary Magnoli, Laura Bradford, John and Frederick Schoenbrunn.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
