John W. Y. Jackson

LACONIA - John W. Y. Jackson, 82, of 30 County Home Drive, Laconia, died at the Exeter Hospital, Exeter, NH on Friday, October 3, 2003. Mr. Jackson was born March 13, 1921 in North Andover, MA, the son of John and Jennie (Reynolds) Jackson. He served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII.

Mr. Jackson worked in the computer field for nearly 50 years and was also a security guard at the Brooks School in North Andover, MA.

He loved the outdoors. Mr. Jackson has been a resident of Laconia, NH since 1999, coming from Haverhill, MA.

Survivors include a son, John W. Jackson of Shepherdsville, KY; a daughter, Joanne Dresser of Laconia, NH; three grandchildren, Cassandra Dresser of Laconia, NH; Jennifer Jackson and Candace Jackson both of Shepherdsville, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Jackson was predeceased by a sister Priscilla Kenney; a brother Harvey Jackson and a grandson John Peter Jackson.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 11:30AM using the carriage house entrance.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246.
