Elmer "Al" W. Goodwin, Jr.

Laconia, NH-----Elmer "Al" W. Goodwin, Jr., 71, of 6 Birchhaven Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Monday, October 20, 2003.

Mr. Goodwin was born December 9, 1931, in Cambridge, MA, the son of the late Elmer and Violet (Cahoon) Goodwin of Lynnfield, MA.

Mr. Goodwin graduated from Boston University in 1953 and served in the U. S. Marine Corps, retiring as a Major. He owned and operated Goodwin's Clam Shoppe in Lynnfield, MA until it was sold in 1984. After moving to New Hampshire, he worked as a realtor in the Lakes Region until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn (Winn)Goodwin, of Laconia and Gilford, NH; two sons, Paul Goodwin and Mark Goodwin and his wife, Donna, all of Gilford, NH; a daughter, Jill Goodwin Hegner and her husband, Kenneth, of Kissimee, Florida; two grandchildren, Coby and Riley Goodwin both of Gilford, NH and a sister, Jayne Goodwin O'Brien of Salisbury, MA.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, October 24, 2003 from 2:00-4:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 4:00PM also at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
