Laconia----Helen M. Hetherington, 92, formerly of Meredith, died at the Genesis Eldercare Network – Laconia Center, on Wednesday, May 7, 2008.

Mrs. Hetherington was the widow of Christy I. Hetherington who died in 1990.

Mrs. Hetherington was born July 21, 1915 in Fairfield, Conn., the daughter of John and Alice (Blake) Moore.  She lived most of her life in Fairfield, Conn. moving to Moultonboro in 1972 and later moved to Meredith in 1986.  She had been a resident of Laconia since 2003.

Mrs. Hetherington was a member of the First Congregational Church of Meredith and was employed at Ben Franklin Store in Meredith.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol H. Rawson and her husband, David Rawson, of Laconia and Nancy H. Papp and her husband, Victor S. Papp, Jr. of Stratford, Conn.; five grandchildren, D. Chris Rawson of Laconia, Michael W. Dupre of Palm Harbor, Florida, James K. Rawson of Burlington, Mass., Brian T. Dupre of West Haven, Conn. and Elizabeth A. Rawson of Coral Springs, Florida; eight great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.  Mrs. Hetherington was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Moore and Arthur Moore.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 2:00PM at the First Congregational Church of Meredith, 4 Highland Street, Meredith, N.H.  Rev. Dr. Russell Rowland, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First  Congregational Church of Meredith, PO Box 533, Meredith, N.H. 03253.
