Laconia----Mary A. “Mollie” Williams, 81 of 25 Union Ave. died at the Lakes Region General Hospital Saturday February 4, 2006. She was the widow of Charles H. Williams, Jr. who died in 1994.
Mollie was born July 2, 1924 in Center Sandwich the daughter of Arthur H. and Philomene (LeBlanc) Lewis, Sr. She had been a resident of Laconia since 1942. She served in the US Navy during WWII.
Mollie had been employed as a supervisor at Metz Electronics for a number of years retiring in 1983. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and was a volunteer at Lakes Region General Hospital for many years.
Survivors include a son Charles H. “Chuck” Williams, III Retired Fire Fighter & EMT of Laconia 2 daughters and sons-in-law Donna and George Davison of Laconia and Brenda and Robert Morin of Tuftonboro; 6 grandchildren George A. Davison, III, Bethany A. Wieczorek, Melissa L. Gianino, Jessica M. Shupe, Jennifer L. Williams and Ashley M. Williams; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 nephews and a niece. Beside her parents she was pre-deceased by a sister Rita English, a brother Arthur H. Lewis, Jr. and a nephew John E. Lewis.
Calling hours will be held on Monday February 6, 2006 for 2-4 and 7-9 PM using the Carriage House entrance of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street Laconia.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church Laconia Tuesday February 7, 2006 at 10:00. The Rev. Gary Kosmowski, pastor of the church will officiate.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lakes Region General Hospital 80 Highland Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
The Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia is in charge of the arrangements.
