Santo "Sam" L. Mancuso

Gilford-----Santo “Sam” L. Mancuso, 76, of 9 Sargent Place, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Tuesday, February 7, 2006.

Mr. Mancuso was born June 28, 1929 in East Boston, MA, the son of the late Frank and Maria (Miccichi) Mancuso.

Mr. Mancuso served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He lived in Waltham, MA for several years and was employed by the City of Waltham for twenty-five years, retiring in 1992. He moved to Gilford, NH twelve years ago.

Mr. Mancuso was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Lakeport, and a former communicant and usher at St. Mary’s Church, Waltham, MA. He enjoyed walking.

Survivors include his wife of fourteen years, Florence (Kennedy) Mancuso, of Gilford; a son, Edward Mancuso, of Marlboro, MA; two daughters, Debbie Swanson and her husband, Joe, of Waltham, MA and Sandra Mancuso of
Orange, MA; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Ciro Mancuso, of Chelmsford, MA; a sister, Rose Marie Gorman, of Waltham, MA and several nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 10, 2006 from 5:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH.

Burial will be held at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery, Rte 3, Boscawen, NH on Monday February 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246
