Gilford-----Jessie A. Hurd, 69, of 37 Brookside Crossing, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home, Laconia on Monday, February 6, 2006. She was the widow of Arthur N. Hurd who died December 5, 2005.
Mrs. Hurd was born May 10, 1936 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Lavoy) Valliere. She was a life long resident of the Lakes Region and was employed at Laconia Shoe for fifteen years.
Mrs. Hurd enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, cooking and baking.
Survivors include a son, James D. Hurd, of Gilford; two daughters and a son-in law, Shirley M. Holmes, and Kerri A. and George G. Ebright all of Laconia; three grandchildren; a brother, John Valliere, of Laconia; a sister, Joan Rand, of Laconia and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Dale A. Hurd, in 1959 and by a sister, Carolyn William.
There will be no calling hours of funeral service.
