Laconia------Ernestine “Meme” R. Boynton, 58, of 11 Appleton Street, Lakeport, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Thursday, February 16, 2006. She was the widow of Warren G. Boynton, Sr. who died in 2002.
Mrs. Boynton was born July 3, 1947 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Barbara (Dow) and Claude B. Patten, Sr. She was raised in Tilton and lived most of her life in Laconia. She was the owner of Meme’s Attic.
Mrs. Boynton enjoyed giving back to the community and loved yard sales. She was affiliated with the Weirs United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Race and her husband, Gregory, of Oklahoma and Tina Smith and her husband, Robin, and Tanya Boynton all of Laconia; eight grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Jerry Hough, Leslie Boynton, Richard Hough, Chelsey Smith, Steven Hough, Gene Batchelder, Jr. and Spring Batchelder; three brothers, Claude B. Patten, Jr. of Belmont, Roland Patten of Laconia and Roy Patten of Winnisquam; three sisters, Beverly Taylor of Florida, Gloria Coffin of Belmont and Ruby Horne of Tennessee; and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Warren “Rusty” G. Boynton, Jr., in 1987.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, February 20, 2006 from 10:00-11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home. Rev. Marilyn Ayer, Pastor of the Weirs United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
