Ashland------Edna L. Rollins, 84, formerly of Highland Street Apartments and Upper Ox Bow Road, New Hampton, died at the Mt. Ridge Healthcare Center, Franklin on Friday, February 3, 2006. She was the widow of Carl E. Rollins who died in 1974.
Mrs. Rollins was born November 17, 1921 in Adrian, Texas, the daughter of Theo and May (Voos) Turner.
Mrs. Rollins was employed at King’s Chinese American Restaurant in Laconia for several years.
Mrs. Rollins was a member of the Ashland Baptist Church and was was a member of the Bible Study Group. She enjoyed shopping, eating out and helping others.
Survivors include two sons, Donny Carl Rollins of Sperryville, Virginia and Alan Wade Rollins of Florida; three daughters, Gloria J. Gablinske, of Berlin, Wisconsin, Linda Perkins of Plainsfield, NH and Janice S. Ewens of Plymouth, NH; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a sister, Dorothy Stump, of Arkansas and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Sharyn Drake, in 1990 and by her brothers and a sister.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 2:00PM at the family lot in Village Cemetery, New Hampton, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one’s own favorite charity.
Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
