Laconia-----Fay A. Bacon-Towle, 67, of 765 Union Ave. Apt. 203, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia Friday April 2, 2004.

    Fay was born March 15, 1937 in Willimantic, CT. the daughter of Russell W. and Helen (Sugrue) Hinman.  She graduated from Windham High School Class of 1954.  She had been a resident of the Lakes Region for over 40 years coming from Connecticut.

   She was formerly employed as an operator for Laconia Answering Service, a secretary at the N.H. State House and at the Laconia Shoe Company.

     Fay was an avid NASCAR fan, loved animals and loved to make people laugh.

     Survivors include a son John R. and his wife Teri Bacon of Laconia; a daughter Allison M. and her husband Nelson LeClaire, III of Laconia; 5 grandchildren Aime-Jo Bacon, Rebecca Bacon, Priscilla LeClaire, Nelson LeClaire and Courtney LeClaire all of Laconia; a sister-in-law Hanne Hinman of Windham; a niece Catherine Parker of Bow.

     Calling hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia Tuesday April 6, 2004 from 7-9 PM using the Carriage House entrance.

      A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church,  30 Church Street, Laconia Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 10 AM. The Rev. Gary Kosmowski, pastor of the church will officiate.

        Burial will be held on Saturday April 10, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 99 Jackson Willimantic, CT.

     In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

     Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia N.H. is in charge of the arrangements.
