Allenstown----Malcolm Keith Tivey, 73, of 9 Emile Drive and formerly of Belmont, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2004. He was the widower of Elaine M. (Burgard) Tivey who died in 1992.
Mr. Tivey was born on May 15, 1930 in Sandwich, NH, the son of the late Edward F. Tivey, Sr. and Lilla Mudgett. He was raised in Ashland, NH Following graduation from Ashland High School, he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Tivey worked for Aluminum Engineering for many years in Manchester and for Ashland Woolen Mills. He retired after thirteen years as a Patrolman for the State of N.H. Depart. of Highway Maintenance. Mr. Tivey was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his two daughters, Barbara Woodard of Allenstown and Bonnie Griffiths of Barnstead and by his son, Brian Tivey, of Belmont; a brother, Richard Tivey, of Plymouth; two sisters, Joyce Perry of Middletown, RI and Beverley Godville of Ashland; six grandchildren, Shaunna Gunther, Curtis Woodard, Jay Carbone, Zackary, Brianna and Dylan Tivey; four great grandchildren, Kylie Arthur, Riley and Madison Carbone and Kastor Gunther and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Edward F. Tivey, Jr. and Burton Tivey and a sister, Constance Collins.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, April 30, 2004 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 7:00PM-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be held at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of NH, 9 Cedarwood Drive Unit 12, Bedford, NH 03110.
